When I had a look at the servers phpinfo and I saw that both
upload_tmp_dir and user_dir have
no value and no value set for them.how do I change it (via a
.htaccess file as I dont have access to the
php.ini) so that I can write the data as required from my script?

I'm using a class to write some values to a file on our serverit used to
work fine but not anymore since i moved servers...
This is the code I am using:
