[PHP] add column?

Hi,
Below is a segament of my source as you can see it Switchin is taken from
the row, I need it to be taken from the column can I just change it to
$mycolumn?

$insum = $insum + $myrow[Switchin];
 $outsum = $outsum + $myrow[Switchout];
 $yestodayin = $myrow[Switchin];
 $yestodayout = $myrow[Switchout];
