[PHP] fopen !!!

is it possible to use fopen to open 5000 files differents simultaneous and edit it simultaneous ? I have one file. if four user edit it simultaneous what happen? there is something to lock the file until one finish to edit? I read at manual something like flock how can i use it? -- PHP Ge
