[PHP] search results from another site

Is there any way to use PHP to do the following..


Strip the results of a page (ie a search on another site) and then display
them on your site the way you want to.  Similar to the CFHTTP command used
in Coldfusion?

Yes.

For the mechanics you could search the archives where similar questions have 
been asked (and answered).
