As I recall MySQL is not case sensitive did you use --with-charset=koi8_ru ( or what ever) when you did ./configure ? snip form INSTALL-SOURCE file of mysql-3.23.40 * By default, *MySQL* uses the ISO-8859-1 (Latin1) character set. I can do this on my local server but I can't do it on provider's server, can I do anything else?
