Yes, the ./configure string includes enable-dbase. But that's the only place I
see the word dbase on the page.

Have you run phpinfo() to make sure the option is in?

When you look at a phpinfo() on that server, do you see the enable-dbase
i want try to open the test.dbf files ..
but have the problem
