NO!

The domain part (after the @) is case-insensitive.

The username part (before the @) is case-sensitive.

It is *POSSIBLE* for [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] to be very
different people.

It's not very common any more, but you really don't want to screw this up
for the few people who care.
