They should be able to configure their browser to not print the background
color of a web-page...
Or are you making a giant image with lots of black?...
At any rate, you could probably use http://php.net/manual/en/ref.image.php
or http://php.net/exec with convert (aka Image Magick) to do anything you
want to your images.
