Chris, There's a fairly comprehensive example of this included within 'Beginning PHP4' (ISBN 1861003730) - I think in Chapter 13.
You can download the code examples for this book from http://p2p.wrox.com/php/ without actually buying the book - though I've found this book and the more recent 'Professional PHP4' to be invaluable.
