I'm trying to build/install php4.3.7. I've had to (it seems) make apache 2
to use modules so I'm left wth apache installed into usr/local etc.. which
is different from the original RH9 install. I use xinetd too. Can someone
tell me how xinet knows to start the httpd service? I can;t find any config

If I were you, I would start over. Install Apache httpd 2.0.49 "with php:"
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/install.html
Install PHP 4.3.7 and make sure you follow the specific directions for PHP
with Apache2:

Hi,I downloaded PHP 4.3.7 installer for windows and it installed
all the files automatically. I do not get PHP and want to uninstall it.
How do I uninstall PHP and I cant find it in Add Remove Programs
either.
