I appreciate your enthusiasm and I do agree that the tutorial portion of the section needs a rewrite. However, I disagree with much of the content you propose. We should stay away from frameworks, PHP fig, and ORMS in the manual. What we really need is a way to teach basic PHP mechanics to a new
