Parser does not handle ctrl-m ('\u000d') as argument to PigStorage

An script which has 
a = load 'input' using PigStorage('\u000d');
 
produces the following error:

1000: Error during parsing. Lexical error at line 1, column 47.  Encountered: 
"\r" (13), after : "\'"
