Hello
The fact is that you can peel RC papers to get thinner "negtives".
I immerse the print in hot water at about 45 ° C and leave it in for about 3
or 4 minutes (it's a necesssary time for heat to go "into" the paper. After
that, hold your print to the bottom of the tray which must be smooth and

I use Ilford RC paper for regular shots. The packages are marked Medium

That's great.
Thank you.

I think he laminated the front side with lamination film like that made by
Seal. Not the pocket made now for encapsulation, but just a lamination to
the front. I was confused as how the slaps with a ruler helped separate it.
I have some lamination film and will try it out and report back later.

yeah but I figured I'd just read it too fast & would "get it"
later...glad I wasn't the only one...

I used the method as Leezy described. For you experimenters, I did find a
certain chemical solution that made peeling the emulsion from the paper
backing much easier, but I've forgotten which chemical. A hundred years ago
photographers who used glass plates stripped the emulsion off all unuseable

Soak the paper for a while. The corners will split. Start peeling carefully.
Soak again if necessary.

Once again, the web address for See-Through is:

I am new to this website so I do not know if this topic has been explored
yet. In the mid-1970s I built pinhole cameras and used RC enlarging paper
in the cameras. After exposure and development, I stripped the RC emulsion
from its paper backing. This made a very useful negative. I had earlier
