In bright sunlight or overcast conditions - you have
no problems seeing through the viewfinder. Other
times I have just wrapped my button down shirt around
my head and camera (poor man's darkcloth) and let my
eyes adjust. I've never had any problems.

If you have a rubber eye cap, you can usually see a faint image through

viewfinder depending on the brightness of the scene.
