When a cyanotype is made it looks gorgeous when wet. As it dries it looks lighter. After the cyanotyoe is dry the pigment (prussian blue) oxidizes and gradually turns darker. hydrogen peroxide oxidized the pigment immediately. Its not the drying process that makes it go darker - its the

Two of the more common cyanotype problems are alkaline water and/or a bad paper choice. Try adding a few CC of stop bath to your first rinse. If that fixes your problem, then you know your water source is alkaline. Cyanotype need nuetral or acidic wash water. If that isn't your problem, then
