I suspect I'm not in the minority here, and this dependency means that anyone with the clients installed will automatically have cyrus-imapd installed unless they explicitly deselect it. Considering many people use the clients on a laptop or desktop, where an IMAP server is not wanted, this dependency should probably be downgraded to a Suggests. Bug#604412: cyrus-clients-2.2: pop3test doesn't handle CAPA rejection gracefully

Bug#550228: New cyrus 2.[34]?
Is there any movement on a new Cyrus 2.3 or 2.4 package? This bug has been open for over a year without a fix. My preference is for a cyrus-clients newer than 2.2 (since that's all I ever use of the suite), especially since that will get rid of the dependencies on Heimdal.
