This is a small bugfix and not a new version, so i think this is more
appropriate for an SRU rather than a backport.
Follow the SRU procedure and update the bug report description according
to the SRU bug template.
If you attach attach a debdiff for the Xenial package a sponsor can
upload it.

I'm unable to report it as a bug report to Debian; the Debian bug
tracking system doesn't seem to like my email address for some reason. I
have also sent an email to the Debian package maintainer (Bertrand Marc)
about a month ago but I didn't get any reply yet.
