IMHO pristine-tar is counter productive and maintaining it requires extra

some packages takes too much time and resources. Also we still need to build
packages on build servers to have tests coverage and build logs.
Unfortunately shipping Golang applications in sources only (no binaries) is
not an opt
in extent we could address that problem with increased pressure to
upstreams in order to convince them to tag releases and vendoring by tags as
much as possible...
