Thanks for trying to address these errors.

I suspect we're looking at a case of using Go 1.9 functionality that
isn't yet in gccgo, which is still at a compatibility level of 1.8 as of
GCC 7.

Hi,

thanks for reporting this bug, I've just noticed those build failures,
too. I don't know yet what's causing the FTBFS, I'll try to sort it out.
I'll upload a (hopefully) fixed version soon. If the package still
FTBFS, I'll take care of reopening this bug.
