Thanks for reporting this issue.
While I don't use GNOME 3, I can confirm the issue in a jessie VM with
GNOME 3. Resizing does work in GNOME Classic, XFCE KDE.
QLandkarteGT enforces a minimal window height to include all its
widgets. With GNOME

Hi,
yes, unfortunately I believe you're right--my screen resolution is
1366x768, so QLGT's minimal height is larger than what I have :-( 816
pixels as minimal height seems pretty much though!
