It looks like 'sid' got rid of MySQL 4 a while ago. This re-introduced the bug 
which I already found
when I first installed MySQL 5 and which disappeared after downgrading to MySQL 
4.

This has been fixed some time ago. gpsdrive+kismet works now with
mysql4 and mysql5.
