Yes, it is needed, otherwise the tag @VERSION@ doesn't get substituted
with the correct number.
I'm uploading to experimental.

has caused the Debian Bug report #540862,
regarding apache2: xml-based firewall bypass / port scanning vulnerability
to be marked as done.
Hi,
I did the same test as Nelson above, but I built on my laptop which
runs kubuntu 10.10, obviously not Debian.. The packages I built didn't
work, my server is running Debian though. I did notice the following
build dependency:
apt-file search /usr/bin/apxs2
apache2-prefork-dev: /usr/bin/apxs2
Fixed the FTBFS for not defining __freebsd_kernel__.
New FTBFS:
gcc -shared
/build/buildd-rxtx_2.2pre2-5-kfreebsd-i386-z7JZih/rxtx-2.2pre2/i486-pc-kfreebsd-gnu/.libs/SerialImp.o
/build/buildd-rxtx_2.2pre2-5-kfreebsd-i386-z7JZih/rxtx-2.2pre2/i486-pc-kfreebsd-gnu/.libs/fuserImp.o
-lc_r
Package: libxerces2-java
Version: 2.9.1-4.1
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave
root@sslvpn-test:/usr/src/adito-0.9.1# aptitude show libxerces2-java
[...]
Depends: default-jre-headless | java1-runtime-headless |
java2-runtime-headless, libjaxp1.3-java
[...]
An update.
My first assumption seems to be wrong, but something else seems to be
seriously wrong:
root@sslvpn-test:/usr/src# aptitude why libxerces2-java gcj-4.4-base
p libxerces2-java Depends default-jre-headless | java1-runtime-headless
| java2-runtime-headless
p
Update2: dpkg can install the .deb.
Conclusion-suggestion: Dependency resolution in apt/aptitude is broken |
libxerces2-java is broken.
Cheers,
Martin
