Package: libjaffl-java

libjaffl-java does not declare any dependencies on other Java libraries;
however it needs at least libjffl-java and libasm3-java to work correctly.

It may also need libjnr-x86asm-java but I did not have issues with that being
missing.

This situation is made worse by the fact that the Maven project object model
for this library declares these dependencies as 'provided' which means they are
not automatically picked up by Maven.

I discovered this issue whilst transitioning jenkins from libjna-posix-java to
libjnr-posix-java.

Bug#779256: jaffl: unit tests during build time are failing

2015-02-25 Thread Miguel Landaeta
Package: src:jaffl

This package looks unmaintained and kinda abandoned by upstream.

In particular I noticed unit tests during build time are broken. This
doesn't cause FTBFS errors yet but is worrisome anyway.

The full build log is attached.

Control: reassign -1 tomcat7

I found some bug or feature apt-get. I've installed tomcat7 and in folder
/etc/tomcat7 I put symlink to diff. folder - like to /data/file1.
  Then in /etc/tomcat7 I had symlink file1.

  When I made apt-get remove tomcat7 or apt-get remove --purge tomcat7 -
  apt-get didn't remove symlink from /etc/tomcat7, BUT
  REMOVE file from /data.

  After apt-get remove I hadn't file1 in /data/file1.

Given the directory removals in tomcat7's postrm script I'm inclined
to think this is tomcat7 (and tomcat6) fault, but it would be helpful
to know what exactly did you symlink, was it the /etc/tomcat7 directory
itself, one of the conffiles inside? Something else?

I'm reassigning to the tomcat7 package.

Regards,
Guillem

Bug#668400: /usr/bin/apt-get: Apt-get purge/remove delete file behind symlink

2015-02-25 Thread Emmanuel Bourg
I tried to reproduce this issue with the following sequence in unstable:

1. apt-get install tomcat7
2. touch /opt/file1
3. ln -s /opt/file1 /etc/tomcat7/file1
4. apt-get remove tomcat7
5. apt-get purge tomcat7

The link was the last remaining element in /etc/tomcat7 and the
/opt/file1 hasn't been removed.

Rafal, could you try again with the version of tomcat7 from testing or
wheezy-backports please? If the issue is still there please detail the
steps to reproduce it and I'll look into it.

Thank you,

Emmanuel Bourg
