Bug#733488: libjna-java: Update the jna library to a current upstream version

2013-12-29 Thread Jonas Wolz
Package: libjna-java
Version: 3.2.7-4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

is it possible to update the libjna-java package to a current (or at least
newer than 3.4.0) version of the JNA library?

Version 3.2.7 has the following bug which makes the package more or less
unusable for my code:
https://java.net/jira/browse/JNA-185

Thanks in advance!
Jonas Wolz

Bug#705565: Getting closure compiler back in testing?

2013-12-29 Thread Rogério Brito
Hi there.

Can we have a late Christmas present (or even an New Year's present)? The
closure compiler:

* has already been removed from testing [1]
* has many applications and users that depend/want it
* already has patches in the BTS [2]

[1]: http://packages.qa.debian.org/c/closure-compiler/news/20131229T163915Z.html
[2]: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=705565

Given this information, could we have something (even a NMU) to fix this?

Thanks in the name of the users,

Rogério.

Hi,

I’d be happy to use the closure-compiler as a build-dependency for the
ongoing fullcalendar package, so thanks for packaging it!

Unfortunately, the packaged version fails to load:

$ java -jar /usr/share/java/closure-compiler.jar
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from
/usr/share/java/closure-compiler.jar

While the prebuilt compiler downloaded upstream actually runs fine.

Installing ‘libclosure-compiler-java’ should result in a useable
package. But this package is of no use without a Java runtime
environment.

Please add a dependency on a Java runtime environment, such as
“Depends: default-jre-headless”.
