Hi Emanual, You're right. The problem only occurs with Java 8 not 7. If I modify make-jpkg to also include release-3 the problem is resolved. The way make-jpkg determines which virtual packages is provides is currently hard-coded for Java 7, so there is also a problem for Java 6 (java4-runtime
