Actually the files installed in /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64 come from the libopenjfx-jni package and not libopenjfx-java. libopenjfx-java contains only architecture independent .jar files. libopenjfx-jni is built for i386 and amd64 and installs the libraries in an architecture specific path,
