Finally after so many hours of troubleshooting I can get the yarnpkg
command to run fine with a forked version of
babel-plugin-transform-inline-imports-commonjs corresponding to the
pull request I shared earlier.
okay, not there fully. It was still using
babel-plugin-transform-strict-mode from babel 6
