In squeeze, Sphinx (documentation generator, which is popular in Python world) generates JavaScript code that uses the className function, which was removed in jQuery 1.4.

This is of course a bug in Sphinx that should be fixed (see #629329). However, the buggy code ended up in (literally) dozens of packages, many of them being arch:all. Rebuilding them all would be quite painful.

Taking this into account, would you consider patching jQuery in squeeze to add the function back? Patch is available here:
