Slightly awkward the build log does not show the linker command line.

That's odd, it is a warning, yet it is fatal?

 did a fresh install of Digikam, imported some pictures in an album.
After that, as soon as I click on the album to see the pictures I get
this error in the console and digikam crashes

digikam: Fatal IO error: client killed
Fatal Error: Accessed global static 'FileReadWriteLockStaticPrivate 
*static_d()' after destruction. Defined at 
/tmp/buildd/digikam-4.4.0/core/libs/threadimageio/filereadwritelock.cpp:385

In this state, the application is unusable.
