I did some more investigation, and although I wasn't able to duplicate the
segfaults, I did find something odd.
I set up a Debian 8.1 system which I think did an upgrade to testing. That
left me with an Amarok that was linked against both libnettle.so.4 and
libnettle.so.6.

For a couple of days by GTK3 applications running on KDE have been
looking like hell (basically no theming). GTK2 applications are fine,
other GTK3 themes
