I totally understand that, I am just trying to get infos to you as
debian maintainer from my (at the moment admittedly almost non-existing)
involvement upstream. Exiv2 0.26 will likely not get into testing.
Upstream does backport a lot of security fixes to 0.26, but negated
creating a dot release
Digikam still works with exiv2 0.25. It's just that a lot of fixes have
gone into 0.26 that prevent crashs in digikam, that's why its cmake file
has a >=0.26 dependency.

Due to another problem (to be fixed in 5.8.0) updates in the UI do not
take effect under certain circumstances. Please try the following and
let me know whether it worked:
Stop digikam, delete (move) ~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/digikam and restart it.

0.26 is in experimental for quite a while. As far as I can see the
problem is that it needs a transition but that is not happening. I don't
know how that works, but from what I read the next steps would be
opening a transition bug and starting binNMUs against the rdeps. I think

Sorry for not responding on this. I don't really use digikam for video

I asked upstream about this and the answer was that the export tool is
legacy code (still KIO based) and the solution would be to rewrite it to

This is caused by a new cmake option "DENABLE_APPSTYLES", which
apparently defaults to off. Therefore the argument
"-DENABLE_APPSTYLES=ON" needs to be added to the dh_auto_configure call.

I encounter this problem with 5.2.0-1 and 5.2.0-2 on two different

reproduce it when built from upstream source and using the new upstream

very puzzled why

The problem according to your log is not libgphoto2 (it was before, but

This command is part of a package with the same name "gphoto2". This

As a rebuild is needed for bug #841751 could this also be included. It
is simply a matter of adding a single entry (libqt5sql5-mysql) to the
