I feel like something like this came up in the upstream bugtracker, but
can't get a hold of it. Can you try if this is still a problem with the

Digikam sees the iphone as an auto-detected device and a ptp device. When I
try to import from either is says "Failed to connect to camera".

Does import work when you start digiKam yourself and then use the
"Import" menu in the taskbar?
