I hope I am using the right mailing list for this. I installed KDE 4.6.2 from experimental-snapshots on my aptosid installation and tried kde-config-gtk-style (Version 2:0.5.3-1) to change the widget style of iceweasel (3.5.19-1). But it did not have an effect. Other gtk-applications changed their style (e.g. icedove), but not iceweasel which did use the ugly gnome-default-style (I wanted it to be clearlooks).
Comparing all ~/.gtk* files with another installation on another PC where firefox uses clearlooks, I found that iceweasel does not use the configuration ".gtkrc-2.0-kde" but instead ".gtkrc-2.0-kde4". So I created a symlink ".gtkrc-2.0-kde4 -> .gtkrc-2.0-kde" and now it works that iceweasel uses the settings from kde-config-gtk-style, too.
I do not know if my iceweasel is messed up somehow with old settings. But if iceweasel uses this .gtkrc-2.0-kde4 file generally, it might be a good idea, to automatically create this symlink when using kde-config-gtk-style?
