Package: kid3 Version: 1.0-1 Severity: normal The Vorbis people have defined .oga as the extension for Vorbis encoded files, although they also define .ogg as valid for Vorbis files for legacy reason.
As far as I understand .oga's and .ogg's are the same internally, it's purely a filename related thing. Kid3 doesn't seem to want to open my .oga's but of course if I rename them to .ogg's then they open fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages kid3 depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libflac++6 1.2.1-1.2 Free Lossless Audio Codec - C++ ru ii libflac8 1.2.1-1.2 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libgcc1 1:4.3.1-9 GCC support library ii libid3-3.8.3c2a 3.8.3-7.2 Library for manipulating ID3v1 and ii libogg0 1.1.3-4 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.3.1-9 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtag1c2a 1.5-3 TagLib Audio Meta-Data Library ii libtunepimp5 0.5.3-7 MusicBrainz tagging library ii libvorbis0a 1.2.0.dfsg-3.1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.2.0.dfsg-3.1 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi kid3 recommends no packages. kid3 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information _______________________________________________ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras
