  Thanks for reporting the bug. I've investigated the issue, and it turns that 
xterm usage is hardcoded into a convenience script which is easily user 
configurable.
  Just go Scripting->Edit popups->hostpopup in the traceroute option you'll 
find something like:

  if("$system.ostype" == "unix")run xterm -e /bin/sh -c "echo \"Traceroute to 
$0...\" && traceroute $0 && cat"
else run tracert $0

  just change that xterm invocation for the terminal emulator you want.

  I am, however, in negotiations upstream to implement a better mechanism of 
terminal emulator detection. Help is welcome ;)
