Package: kde-guidance
Version: 0.8.0-6
Severity: normal
Since a few days ago the power manager applet (started by
guidance-power-manager) does not start anymore, crashing with error like:
[ 1393.278331] guidance-power-[9116]: segfault at ffffffff ip
00007f8656c13cc0 sp 00007fff5f9ac208 error 4 in
libc-2.9.so[7f8656b9a000+149000]
I believe this applet has a sour story at KDE, because there's no KDE4
version, but it is less headache than complicated powerdevil
configuration. It also offers nicer access to suspend than the touchpad
chalenged drop-down menu of the logout dialog.
Please ask for details if necessary, but do offer details how to do the
debug, as simple gdb does not on this python file work, of course.
