Package: kaffeine
Version: 1.0-2
Severity: normal

When playing a dvb stream either directly from a dvb-card or a recorded file
with deinterlacing switched on, kaffeine crashes almost instantly: About half a
second of video and audio is shown, then kaffeine crashes. With deinterlacing
switched off, everything works fine, until deinterlacing is switched again.

The same works fine in xine, I can switch deinterlacing on and off again, xine-
ui does not crash.

After the crash, a KCrash window pops up, presenting a backtrace (attached).
This is what is written to the command line:

LC_ALL=C kaffeine &

The kaffeine application remains kind of usable, I am able to do configuration
work, drag and drop files in the playlists etc, but I am not able to play any
other files until I restart kaffeine.

Playing an AVI works fine, with and without deinterlacing.

Bye,

Procyon

Dear Submitter,

I have closed your report as it is against a very old version of kaffeine
which is no longer supported by Debian.

I am sorry we have not been able to resolve this issue for you.

Upstream also provide support for kaffeine here: http://hftom.free.fr/phpBB2/

If this is an ongoing issue, could I ask you to file a new report against a
newer version of kaffeine which is supported by Debian.

Mark
