[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#730559: kde-telepathy-call-ui: Dependency hell
Package: kde-telepathy-call-ui Version: 0.6.3-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I tried to install the package kde-telepathy-call-ui and was astonished at the amount of dependency packages it tries to bring in. What surprised me the most was all the dependencies on gstreamer. Shouldn't KDE applications depend exclusively on phonon? I mean, isn't this the whole point of using phonon, to make KDE applications independent of the backend? I use the VLC backend for phonon and don't want to install zillions of gstreamer dependencies in order to have telepathy installed. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras
