Dear Maintainer,

after upgrading to digikam/4:4.4.0-1 the problem is gone.
Digikam works again as expected.

THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT WORK!

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#764321: digikam crashes when a video file of type 'Apple QuickTime movie' is in an Album

2014-10-07 Thread Jürgen Leibner
Package: digikam
Version: 4:4.3.0-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
I wanted to use digikam as I did it since years.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
I changed in the album tree view into an album in which an Apple
 QuickTime movie lays.
I can reproduce the situation everytime I want. Therefore I do the
 following steps:

 1. Start digikam
 2. Open an album folder without such an Aplle movie file
 3. copy or move such a file into that folder
 4. digikam chrashes at once

I did an strace of this situation. If someone wants to look at it,
 please ask for it.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
 digikam crashes at once.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
That digikam shows the thumbnails in the album view.
