[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#834131: digikam: no video playback and no video thumbnails
Yes. I have been waiting for qtav to enter Debian. That just happened this week. So next upload should have video again. [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#834131: digikam: no video playback and no video thumbnails
Package: digikam Version: 4:5.7.0-1 Followup-For: Bug #834131 Since version 5.6.0 video thumbnails and playback are broken again (worked for me for the versions before with the libqtmultimedia packages). Digikam release notes state that starting with 5.4.0 qtav is used for audio and video files, replacing libqtmultimedia. So I guess a rebuild is necessary to enable audio and video support again. ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras
[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#834131: digikam: no video playback and no video thumbnails
Package: digikam Version: 4:5.2.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #834131 I can confirm this. I believe this is due to a CMake option not set: -DENABLE_MEDIAPLAYER=on This enables qtmultimedia support and is disabled by default. ___ pkg-kde-extras mailing list pkg-kde-extras@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-extras
[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#834131: digikam: no video playback and no video thumbnails
Package: digikam Version: 4:5.2.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #834131 Hi, According to https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/518909-Digikam-5-not-able-to-play-video-files-or-show-thumbnail comment #9, the option "-DENABLE_MEDIAPLAYER=ON" for cmake is required so that digikam manages video. According to https://sources.debian.net/src/digikam/4:5.2.0-2/debian/rules/ this option is not present when building the Debian package. I just tried to recompile the package with this modification. Now, I can look at video in digikam... [Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#834131: digikam: no video playback and no video thumbnails
Package: digikam Version: 4:5.1.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Steve, dear Pino, dear KDE Extras packaging team, I installed digikam, kipi plugins from experimental. I added ffmpegthumbs for thumbnails. I also added mplayerthumbs later just in case. It basically appears to work, but it does not display any video thumbnails. Also double clicking on a video produces no visible effect. It seems that digikam has no video support available, excerpt of console output: digikam.metaengine: Cannot load metadata using Exiv2 (Error # 11 : […]MVI_[…].AVI: Die Datei enthält Daten eines unbekannten Bildtyps. digikam.dimg: "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" : QIMAGE file identified digikam.dimg.qimage: Can not load " "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" " using DImg::QImageLoader! digikam.general: mimetype = "" ext = "AVI" digikam.general: Cannot create thumbnail for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Thumbnail is null for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Cannot get video thumb for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.metaengine: Cannot load metadata from file (Error # 11 : […]MVI_[…].AVI: Die Datei enthält Daten eines unbekannten Bildtyps. digikam.general: Video support is not available digikam.general: Trying to load Embedded preview with libraw digikam.general: Cannot get video thumb for "[…]MVI_5897.AVI" digikam.general: Video support is not available digikam.rawengine: Failed to load embedded RAW preview digikam.general: Trying to load half preview with libraw digikam.general: Cannot get video thumb for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Video support is not available digikam.general: Trying to load Embedded preview with Exiv2 digikam.metaengine: Cannot load metadata using Exiv2 (Error # 11 : […]MVI_[…].AVI: Die Datei enthält Daten eines unbekannten Bildtyps. digikam.dimg: "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" : QIMAGE file identified digikam.dimg.qimage: Can not load " "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" " using DImg::QImageLoader! digikam.general: mimetype = "" ext = "AVI" digikam.general: Cannot create thumbnail for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Thumbnail is null for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Cannot get video thumb for "[…]MVI_[…].AVI" digikam.general: Video support is not available Installed packages: # apt-show-versions | egrep "digikam|kipi|thumbs|ffmpeg|^mplayer" | grep -v i386 digikam:amd64/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate digikam-data:all/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate digikam-doc:all/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate digikam-private-libs:amd64/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate ffmpeg:amd64/sid 7:3.1.2-1 uptodate ffmpegthumbnailer:amd64/sid 2.1.1-0.1+b2 uptodate ffmpegthumbs:amd64/sid 4:16.04.2-1 uptodate kipi-plugins:amd64/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate kipi-plugins-common:all/sid 4:5.1.0-1 uptodate libffmpegthumbnailer4v5:amd64/sid 2.1.1-0.1+b2 uptodate libkf5kipi-bin:amd64/sid 16.04.0-2 uptodate libkf5kipi-data:all/sid 16.04.0-2 uptodate libkf5kipi31.0.0:amd64/sid 16.04.0-2 uptodate libxine2-ffmpeg:amd64/sid 1.2.6-1.1+b1 uptodate mplayer:amd64/sid 2:1.3.0-3 uptodate mplayerthumbs:amd64/sid 4:15.08.3-2 uptodate Media information of one of those videos: # mediainfo "[…]/MVI_[…].AVI" General Complete name: […]/MVI_[…].AVI Format : AVI Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave File size: 115 MiB Duration : 1mn 3s Overall bit rate : 15.1 Mbps Mastered date: FRI AUG 05 14:03:17 2016 Writing application : CanonMVI02 Video ID : 0 Format : JPEG Codec ID : MJPG Duration : 1mn 3s Bit rate : 15.0 Mbps Width: 640 pixels Height : 480 pixels Display aspect ratio : 4:3 Frame rate : 30.000 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:2 Bit depth: 8 bits Scan type: Progressive Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 1.623 Stream size : 114 MiB (99%) Audio ID : 1 Format : PCM Format settings, Endianness : Little Format settings, Sign: Unsigned Codec ID : 1 Duration : 1mn 3s Bit rate mode: Constant Bit rate : 88.2 Kbps Channel(s) : 1 channel Sampling rate: 11.024 KHz Bit depth: 8 bits Stream size : 689 KiB (1%) Alignment: Aligned on interleaves
