I think you can ignore this part. I don't really like this non-usage because it means I have to go tarball hunting if I want to compile one of the packages. Given that some of the packages might need dfsg cleaning up the only valid tarball probably is the orig.tar.gz in the package. Now if a new version is being worked upon I'm out of luck.
