Re: Help needed with qtcreator FTBFS on arm*
I have just noted that qtcreator built on armel and is currently building on armhf (let's hope it now builds!) To whoever fixed it, thanks *a lot*. If someone could tell me which was the problem, even better. It turned out to be a memory issue and rebuilding on a buildd with more ram+swap did the trick. The build logs for qtcreator on arm* do not always fail in the same way and/or in the same point, plus Dmitry managed to get it to build without issues with an armel VM. So maybe it's also a memory issue. Which armel and armhf buildds have the most amount of ram+swap? I would like to see if the source tried to build there and else give it a try. Help needed with qtcreator FTBFS on arm*
Note: please keep me and pkg-kde-talk CCed. Hi ARM porters! I'm writing you because we currently have qtcreator FTBFS only on ARM* [0] and we can't figure out what's the problem. [0] https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=qtcreator I've tried to build it twice on an armhf porterbox and Dmitry Schanev tried on an armel qemu VM. In my case the porterbox would simply hang before reaching where the buildd gets, and I think the VM build also failed earlier. We would really appreciate some help from you :) This is the only thing stoppong qtcreator built against qt5 to enter jessie. I'm writing you because we currently have qtcreator FTBFS only on ARM* [0] and we can't figure out what's the problem. Ubuntu has qtcreator 3.1.1 built for armhf. I think the main difference is that Ubuntu has been using g++-4.7 on armhf for qtcreator, because of past problems with qtcreator built against Qt 5 on armhf. That's a quite big hammer though, so a better solution or a smaller testcase to file a bug with would be of course good. -Timo -- http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-kde-talk
