So if I'm not mistaken qtchooser will be your first package in the Debian

Indeed, that's great :)

We can now start backporting Qt5. You can go ahead with qtbase and don't
worry if you get into symbols stuff, I'll take care of that.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on it before the end of the month. Once
I'm back and I begin backporting qtbase I'll keep you informed.

Pretty much please don't heasitate to ask if in doubt, much better if it's
 done on IRC.

 Hi,

I had the time to take a look at qt4-x11 and qtchooser, no changes where
needed to build both packages successfully in a pbuilder-based environment.
I also installed them on my system and did not encouter any issue. I pushed
 wheezy-backports branches to :

Excellent! I just saw the diffs and I think they are OK. The only thing I will
change is not runnning the tests on qtchooser until the backport of qt4 has
built everywhere (we need to push qtchooser first).

We had the same issue in jessie.

I hope to push this during this week. After that we can check qt5 :)

(CCing pkg-kde-talk)

Hi Jean-Baptiste! Indeed, help would be much appreciated. I had barely
finished with 5.3.0 and it seems we will get 5.3.1 out this week, possibly
tomorrow.

The first bit that needs backporting is qt4-x11, because the version in
Wheezy does not has qtchooser support.

If you can and want, pull the git repo, make your changes and push them to
somewhere publicly available (like, for example, gitorious).

I'll then review and grab the changes from there.

Feel free to create a wheezy-bpo branch for this.

By the way, the best way to coordinate the effort would be for you to join
#debian-qt-kde on irc.debian.org, so other devs can help.

Thanks a lot!
