I'm not familiar with this use case: could you explain why someone might
want to do that, please?  Does Debian usually try to support partial
upgrades between stable versions?  My understanding was that we expected
users to upgrade all-at-once from one stable version to the next.

Further, firefox-esr will replace iceweasel in Jessie when the next ESR
release is made by Mozilla.  So I'm not sure we want to make a change in
dh_xul-ext for such a short period of time.
