Looks like Eleanor found the answer. So the thing to do is change the
download URL in the script in that package.

nite-nonfree, it downloads the non-free binaries and makes a deb out
of it. I'm on a 32-bit system, it works for me. But I think the
author of that package is on 64-bit.
