Virtual MIDI keyboard for JACK MIDI
Virtual MIDI keyboard - a program that allows you to send JACK MIDI
events (play ;-) using your PC keyboard. It's somewhat similar to
vkeybd, except it uses JACK MIDI instead of ALSA, and the default
keyboard mapping is much better - it uses the same layout as
trackers (like Impulse Tracker) did, so you have two and half
 octaves under your fingers.

MIDI metronome

2010-08-30 Thread Arnout Engelen
Hi,

Is anyone aware of a 'metronome' app that uses MIDI in Debian?

If not, I might want to pick up packaging KMetronome. Should I file an ITP as
'Debian Multimedia Maintainers' or as myself?

Upstream seems nonresponsive. The package in pkg-multimedia-maintainers git
afaics seems OK apart from presenting the licensing information in a better
way.

What would be the proper way forward?

It's been three (3) months that we're working on this, and no package
has been done.

I think the shared libraries in this package are not mature enough to
be public. Therefore, it should not be packaged separately. That means
that scenic is ready to be uploaded to Debian unstable.

Jonas, please list whatever needs to be done for this package to be uploaded.

Thank you.
