Hi Raphael,

The debian/enabled-* lists contain names from squeeze and wheezy; the
name of some codecs changed and others have been added or removed so
it is to be expected that the lists contain entries that don't exist
  for this version.

I don't understand the rationale for this, could you please elaborate?

Suspend and Hibernate are not showing in XBMC menu.
 If remove UPower reboot/shutdown disappears.
If remove consolekit or polkit (or the custom rules) reboot/shutdown
 disappear too.
 Process 1 is systemd.

Thanks for your work on it. Great to have XBMC back in Debian.
I have proposed a fix upstream and I plan including the patch in next
upload.
It works for systemd only for now,
I would happily support other init systems as well, but I could not find
a good alternate Suspend/Hibernate API which I could rely on in Jessie.

Cheers,

 Hi,

automatic installation tests of packages that share a file and at the
same time do not conflict by their package dependency relationships has
 detected the following problem:

   Selecting previously unselected package cs.
   Preparing to unpack .../archives/cs_0.5.7-1_all.deb ...
   Unpacking cs (0.5.7-1) ...
   dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/cs_0.5.7-1_all.deb

   Processing triggers for mime-support (3.57) ...
   Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/cs_0.5.7-1_all.deb

Thanks for your report.

I note that since cs is not available in jessie, this bug should be
marked as not affecting jessie... not sure how this is done.

Vincent, is your upstream amenable to changing the name? The csound cs
utility has been named so since at least 2005, so it would probably
break finger memory for users if I change it. I will ask upstream
anyway.

Membership request Debian Multimedia team

2014-11-07 Thread Ruben Undheim
Hi everyone,

I would like to become a member of the Debian Multimedia team. First
of all this has been triggered by my desire to package libsfark and
sfarkxtc (used to extract sfArk soundfont files) as part of the
correct team. I'm mainly interested in midi-related things.

I've subscribed the relevant mailing lists for Debian Multimedia and
I'm a member on alioth with the username rubund-guest. I'm previously
maintaining several packages as part of the Debian Science team and
I'm familiar with maintaining packages via git/pristine-tar etc.

I'm not a developer so I will need sponsoring help whenever uploading
something, but I've done this a few times before and the list of
things to fix after reviews has decreased tremendously in length since
my first package.

Hopefully, my request will be accepted!

Best regards,
Ruben

Welcome! I have accepted your request.

Note that in the team we usually require packages to have at least 2
maintainers in the team, so for each package you should check if
anyone else is interested in the packages (the team focus is quite
wide, so not all maintainers are interested in all packages...)

2014-11-07 Thread Ruben Undheim
Thanks a lot to you Felipe,

I'm a bit surprised to have been given admin-permission to the project
on alioth, but maybe this is standard procedure.

Maybe I can ask here right now:

Is there anyone who would like to be a co-maintainer on libsfark and
sfarkxtc? (#768169 and #768173)

They are very small packages, so I don't envision there will be much work.

Regards,
Ruben

Dear Maintainer,

I configured UPnP as is instructed in XBMC. But it does not seem to work.
Looking at the logs, it does state that it enabled the UPNP service, but even
the same XBMC instance cannot see the service on the network.

Attached is also the logs in case you need.

Bug#754469: xbmc: play next

2014-11-07 Thread Bálint Réczey
Control: tags -1 wontfix upstream
Control: severity -1 wishlist

Hi Vladimir,

2014-07-11 14:40 GMT+02:00 Vladmimir Stavrinov vstavri...@gmail.com:
 Package: xbmc
 Version: 2:13.1~rc1+dfsg1-1
 Severity: normal

 Dear Maintainer,

The problem exists when some items in the playlist don't works.
When play next feature is enabled, it really try to play next if current
item fail, but first it stops there and don't continues next, and second it
don't moves cursor, so You don't know what item on the list it try or plays.

I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature. The playlist should not
contain items which XBMC can't play and stopping at an item can be
seen as a signal for the user to take action.
I'm marking this report as wishlist/wontfix accordingly.

Cheers,
Balint

This is very strange, because the same URL can play vlc. And this is common
problem. There are many other URL like this (http://IP:PORT/udp/IP:PORT) that
vlc can play, but xbmc can't. Not all of them, but too many. And this is not
stable situation: it is changing in the time.
Please capture the HTTP traffic (using for example wireshark) and
attach the log to the report because error 22 means HTTP error and the
failure to play the stream may have been caused by the server.

Cheers,
Balint

2014-11-07 Thread Vincent Bernat
 ❦ 7 novembre 2014 10:17 -0300, Felipe Sateler fsate...@debian.org :

Vincent, is your upstream amenable to changing the name? The csound cs
utility has been named so since at least 2005, so it would probably
break finger memory for users if I change it. I will ask upstream
 anyway.

I'll ask on my side as well.

Bug#765969: [vlc] green line under some Mpeg-4 XVID videos

me too.

Are the pixel rows at the bottom part obscuring the bottom of the picture or
are they added extraneous? If obscuring, do they lack colour or do they lack
 both colour and brightness?

With some videos I get an horizontal line at the bottom and with others
I get a vertical line on the right side. The line is obscuring the
video.

Big Buck Bunny[1] is a nice example: I tried the video in 854x480 and
both mp4 and ogg give me a vertical color-distorted line at the right
side. If I try the 1920x1080-version the line is at the bottom. avi or
ogg does not matter in both cases.

Which VLC video output plugin was used and does it affect others?

Here, vlc is set to automatic which chooses xvideo output (xcb).
However, the distortion is not present if I disable accelerated video
output (overlay) in vlc. In vlc 2.1.x this problem did not exist.

Regards,
Dirk

what driver/graphics card are you using?

I haven't any problem with mp4/h264 video, only with xvid/divx. And
uncheck the accelerated video output (overlay) didn't solve the problem.

Package: xbmc
Version: 13.0~beta2+dfsg1-1
Severity: normal

I am using the radeon oss driver with latest mesa 10.1.0-4 to take
advantage of VDPAU acceleration. This kind of worked with xbmc 12.3 with
some tearing, but stopped working with an update to gotham. VDPAU also
works fine through mpv.
After enabling hardware acceleration in video settings, my x264 movies
behave like audio files and do not show any output. The screen stays blank
and the selected decoder shows as ff-h264 in the info overlay.
I also tried the latest OpenELEC which works as expected correctly shows
ff-h264-vdpau as the decoder.

The problem looks like this one:

Bug#768388: csound,cs: error when trying to install together

Control: tag -1 sid

On 2014-11-07 14:17, Felipe Sateler wrote:
I note that since cs is not available in jessie, this bug should be
marked as not affecting jessie... not sure how this is done.

Tagging as sid should suffice unless you need to get an update for
csound into jessie that has to go via sid. But by that time maybe a
decision for the proper renaming has already been made.
