i would use extend-diff-ignore in d/source/options, because it looks
like "just cache". Maybe upstream should remove this files from release
 too.

I think that would be OK as well, but it doesn't matter as much. Both
libraries are "part of" libgig but it doesn't look like one depends on
the other at all. They also have separate pkgconfig files so I expect
upstream intends for them to be treated as completely separate libraries
 maybe.

qsampler search for libgig/SF.h ... till now (with old libgig) it was
never found ( it wasn't exist) and qsampler was build without this
fuctionality
SF.h is new header provided by new libgig 4.0.0 ... and now all header
are moved from usr/include/libgig to usr/include/

You still think I have done something wrong?

This directory has been always deleted during a build and makes source "dirty"
I didn't found any better solution for this problem.

I don't think that option is applicable here. dpkg-source by default
already ignores deleted files which are present in the orig tarball.
There's nothing needed to get dpkg-source to work.

I'm not sure how you'd get git-buildpackage to ignore just this
directory though. Usually I just ignore stuff like this and 'git
checkout --' whenever I need to use gbp. Try and get upstream to remove
 it in the next release.

So why do you need to remove this directory in the first place?

I have been in contact with upstream and asked him to remove this dir

The answer was ... something like ... "I am ok with this on opensuse

Ok ... it looks like a plan ;)
Should we have also 2 separate -dev packages gig and akai ?

If qsampler needs a patch, you've done something wrong. Moving the
libraries should have had no affect on other packages (unless they are
actually hard coding the lib path). Why have the headers changed?

Dear Maintainer,

libschroedinger contains various possibly security relevant bugs and is
no longer maintained upstream. Therefore it has been decided to remove
it from Debian. (see bug #845037)

Before it can be removed, all reverse dependencies have to stop using it.

Attached is a patch dropping the build-dependency on libschroedinger-dev,
which is sufficient to achieve this.

Best regards,
Andreas

Since upstream have added /usr/lib/libgig to the ld.so path it seems
that they do want those libraries to be public after all.

 I suggest that you:
 - split libakai into a separate library package
 - move both libraries into /usr/lib/
 - bash upstream until they do this properly :)

Ok ... fixed now :) libgig builds fine ...
I also tried build qsampler ... it builds but will need some patch to
fix search for libgig/SF.h ... quite should be easy
gigedit builds fine ...

Can someone review and upload libgig to experimental now pls?
James?

A few comments (and sorry I've been quite busy this past week):

I don't understand why you have now decided to repack the source. Why do
you need to remove autom4te.cache? The build works fine even with it.

You could remove 01-makefiles.patch.

Since this is a C library, you should add a symbols file.

dh --with autoreconf is not needed with compat 10

Thanks,
James

Package: smplayer
Verison: 16.9.0~ds0-1

Hi.

I noticed smplayer do not list the same set of MIME types as vlc in its
desktop file. This causes the graphical file manager in the various
desktops to not suggest smplayer to play various audio and video formats
when the user click on a media file.

Here is the list of MIME types present in the vlc desktop file but
missing in the smplayer one. I compare with the vlc desktop file
because it is the player with the most supported MIME types according to
https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMultimedia/PlayerSupport >. The
MIME types marked (x) are official MIME types registered with the IANA
MIME registry, and the ones marked (*) are MIME types returned by file
--mime-type.

Please consider adding these MIME types to the smplayer.desktop file:

Wow, I've never heard of Octeon before, though Loongson is familiar.

Bug#845450: kodi-bin: kodi is stuck in left_right stereoscopic mode

2016-11-23 Thread LRN
Package: kodi-bin
Version: 2:17.0~beta5+dfsg1-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When playing stereoscopic over/under (top-bottom) videos in Kodi i've noticed
that for the last few months Kodi does not display the video contents correctly
when instructed to switch to over/under stereoscopic mode. The UI changes
correctly, the video contents does not.

How to reproduce:
* Open any video file (does not need to have stereoscopic contents) in Kodi
* Ensure that stereoscopic mode is not enabled
* Verify that UI and video look fine
* Enable Side-By-Side (left_right) stereoscopic (3D) mode
* Verify that UI is mirrored horizontally, and the video is unchanged
* Verify that stereoscopic mode menu item (a-pair-of-glasses icon->Change Mode;
available in Kodi v17.x) says "left_right"
* Enable Over/Under (top_bottom) stereoscopic (3D) mode

Actual result:
* UI is mirrored vertically, and the video is distorted (video is split
horizontally, as if in left_right mode, then both halves are positioned as
needed by top_bottom mode)
* The stereoscopic mode menu item says "left_right"

Expected result:
* UI is mirrored vertically, and the video is unchanged
* The stereoscopic mode menu item says "top_bottom"

This affects Kodi v16.x from sid and Kodi v17.x from experimental.
I've tried upstream Windows version of Kodi, it does not seem to be affected.
Can't test the upstream *nix version of Kodi, because it only comes in form of
Ubuntu packages.
