In most cases, the .la file(s) can simply be removed as the process behind this MBF has already identified that there are no further dependencies using the .la file. In the unusual case that your package uses libltdl directly, it is still necessary to empty the dependency_libs part of all .la files remaining in the package. Once bristol is fixed, the process will repeat and other packages which you maintain may need to be fixed in turn. It is important that packages are fixed in sequence to avoid FTBFS bugs. If you believe that your package needs both the .la file and the dependency_libs settings, please raise this on debian-devel for clarification. -- Neil Williams = codeh...@debian.org http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/ ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: bristol Source-Version: 0.60.8-3 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of bristol, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: bristol-data_0.60.8-3_all.deb to main/b/bristol/bristol-data_0.60.8-3_all.deb bristol_0.60.8-3.debian.tar.gz to main/b/bristol/bristol_0.60.8-3.debian.tar.gz bristol_0.60.8-3.dsc to main/b/bristol/bristol_0.60.8-3.dsc bristol_0.60.8-3_amd64.deb to main/b/bristol/bristol_0.60.8-3_amd64.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Bug#596392: sooperlooper: Reproducible segmentation fault
Hi Jesse, how'r you doing? A Debian user has reported a segfault [1] against the 'sooperlooper' package in our bugtracker and I can confirm this is reproducible with the latest release of the sampler for Linux systems. The steps to reproduce it on a Debian system are simple: - # aptitude install sooperlooper liblo-tools - $ sooperlooper - $ oscsend localhost 9951 /ping ss return_url return_path The result is: SIGSEGV. Bug#596392: sooperlooper: Reproducible segmentation fault
Thanks for the report. It looks like entering an invalid return_url causes it to fail. I will fix it and send you a patch if that helps... or you can wait for the next version jlc On Sun, May 8, 2011 at 8:05 PM, Alessio Treglia ales...@debian.org wrote: Hi Jesse, how'r you doing? Re: puredata package changes
There are a lot of changes, so I'm wondering if we could get a summary of what we should do to update our packages, and whether there might be any pitfalls. It seems that we should now build pd libs against puredata-dev instead of puredata, for example. .hc On May 8, 2011, at 2:46 PM, Paul Brossier wrote: Hi Hans, I guess the 'git log' and debian/changelog are the best place to look at. Any specific questions about these changes?
