What makes you think so?

Neat, no? I'm busy preparing the Libav 0.7 release, then FFmpeg does a
git merge from libav.org and quickly publishes both 0.7 and 0.8.
Cool, uh?

Why does he merge back the code of the fork that split off of ffmpeg

Alessio, in the workflow you described, the upstream.trunk branch is what I

I have an account on alioth (jeremysalwen-guest) and I requested to join the
team a little while ago, but I haven't been accepted yet.

I've added you, so... welcome aboard! :)

I've already set up both lv2file and so-synth-lv2 repos:
   http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/lv2file.git
   http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/so-synth-lv2.git

Your upstream branches on github have been merged into the
respective UPSTREAM.trunk branches.
To retrieve the code and set up your local copy:

   gbp-clone git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/pkg-multimedia/$PACKAGE.git
cd $PACKAGE git fetch origin UPSTREAM.trunk:UPSTREAM.trunk

So now you are able to work as upstream by directly committing your
changes to the UPSTREAM.trunk branches.
When you feel comfortable with a certain state of things, please keep
in mind what follows:

 * Use the capitalized form UPSTREAM/%(version)s to mark commits
in your trunk branches in order to avoid conflicts with the
upstream/%(version)s used when importing the new release into
   the upstream branches.
 * After tagging a new release, please create a tarball and follow the
   procedure described in our wiki:

 git-import-orig --pristine-tar ../$(PACKAGE)_$(RELEASE).orig.tar.gz

Please don't forget the --pristine-tar option (which is set by default
in the debian/gbp.conf config file, though), it is needed to avoid
downloading stuff from the Debian archive at build time.
For any question or if you don't like this way, let me know!

Cheers,

Adrian,

I've been reviewing ardour3 to upload it soon, please ask upstream to
fix the following licensing issues:

 Files: ./gtk2_ardour/canvas-imageframe.c,
 ./gtk2_ardour/canvas-imageframe.h
Copyright: 1998, The Free Software Foundation
 License: UNKNOWN
  FIXME

Those files completely lack licenses reference.

 Files: ./libs/pbd/pbd/xml++.h,
 ./libs/pbd/xml++.cc
 Copyright: 2000, Ari Johnson, and
 License: LGPL
  FIXME

Sources say LGPL, libs/pbd/COPYING says GPL-2.

 Files: ./libs/surfaces/powermate/interface.cc
 Copyright: Harrison Audio, LLC, 2007
 License: NONE
  FIXME

No licenses here, too.

 Files: ./libs/pbd/pbd/fastlog.h
Copyright: unknown. Code by Laurent de Soras laur...@ohmforce.com
 License: UNKNOWN
  FIXME

Public-Domain? I don't know, upstream should give more information and
state whether it is public-domain.

 maintainers
to upload for weeks, but they are unresponsive.  So perhaps an NMU would
 be
 appropriate.

What are the changes in puredata? Is there a bug filed?

I'm speaking on behalf of the work of IOhannes here, so it might not be
entirely correct.  IOhannes did the work to split puredata into many
packages, including puredata-dev.  For a transition plan, the new puredata
was supposed to depend on puredata-dev, so that the old Build-Depends would
work.  That didn't happen, so now all of the existing packages don't build,
since the headers are no longer installed when you install puredata.

The bugs were then files against the packages that no longer build.  I've
fixed all of my packages to work with Build-Depends: puredata-dev |
 puredata ( 0.43)
